Booking a stanceIf you are a bus or coach operator interested in booking a departure from a stance at the bus station, please contact the Bus Projects Team on 0141 333 3216 or by fax on 0141 333 3719, Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.
Outwith these hours, contact the Senior Team Leader by fax on 0141 353 2310. All bookings will be subject to availability.
Please note, these phone numbers are for bus or coach operators only - they cannot be used for booking tickets or for any other bus station enquiries.
- Coach parking
Limited bus and coach parking is available at the bus station with overnight rates applicable. Parking is on a first come first served basis and subject to availability. Please refer to the departure charge section below for current rates.
- Departure charges
All charges are subject to the licence agreement, policies and procedures for allocating stances at bus stations, and conditions for the use of bus stations managed by SPT.
- Driver facilities
- There is a crew lounge available for drivers located above the tour lounge between stances 22 and 23. This unit has secure access and the code can be obtained from individual operators or by contacting the Duty Superintendent prior to your visit by fax on 0141 353 2310. There is a microwave oven, vending, a rest area, payphone and toilets.
- Getting to the bus station

By road, from the west
Travel on M8 and take junction 17 (Dumbarton), remain in left lane (signposted Aberfoyle, A81). At traffic lights, turn right, go under bridge and at next set of traffic lights turn right on to A804.
Bear left on to New City Road and carry on to next set of traffic lights. Turn right on to Garscube Road and at next set of lights turn left on to Cowcaddens Road. Continue on this road and bus station is on right hand side.
- For taxi rank and drop off point, turn right after Concert Square car park.
- For bus operator access to bus station, turn right at lights at end of Cowcaddens Road. Turn right at next set of lights and second right to enter bus station.
By road, from the east
Travel on M8 and take junction 16 (George Square). Bear left off the slip road and turn left at traffic lights.
Continue to next set of lights, turn right into North Hanover Street, then:
- for access to taxi rank and drop off point, turn right at next lights (Cowcaddens Road), and then first left.
- for bus operator access, at second set of lights turn right (Killermont Street) then second right.
